As I sit here tonight typing away for this blog, it is raining cats and dogs outside! Summer is over and I have had THE best summer from cruises to food festivals. I have eaten ALOT but I’m not complaining.
There are times when I want to go somewhere and wondering to myself if I want to go alone or ask friends. The two food festivals I went to, I went by myself. Both were local so I wasn’t too scared but was just conscience that I’m being stared at.
The first food festival I went to was the Summer Feastival by Street Food Circus and they had an array of street food stalls. The ones I tasted were all amazing from sliders to bao buns. The second festival I went to was the Thai Festival and I’m sure you can guess what type of food that was! I love the skewered food they had there and that is typical Thai street food.
I started doing YouTube shorts 6 months ago to document my food journey. It started off with just videos and me doing voiceovers. Recently, I have started to show my face in them and eating on camera. This was well out of my comfort zone but I’ve had so much fun doing them. It’s still a learning curve on how to make the best out of the videos and when to post them!
Check out the two videos I did at the festivals I just mentioned.
I would never have thought I would video myself eating in public so kudos to everyone out there doing these amazing food videos! I watch a lot of food vlogs and I try to learn from them to see what to capture and how, but also to make it my own. I probably wouldn’t do a full blown video, I’m going to start off small and see how I go on from there!

Now that summer is over, it’s time to think about cooking stews and something warming! I’ll be buying a pressure cooker so watch this space for a review!
Hope you enjoyed this short blog, more soon! Ciao, Jill x
