Where: Kyoto Kitchen, Winchester
I’m not sure where to start with this place. It was so good! This place has a Michelin star and my god does it deserve it!
The atmosphere was so chilled when you walk in. It had beautiful kimonos hanging on the walls so you get the Japanese feel.
We all had the miso soup. This was so light and it had the usual seaweed and tofu. It isn’t as salty as the soups I’ve has before.
We then had the scallops, soft shell crab tempuras and vegetable tempuras. The scallops were soft as butter and the batter for the tempuras were very light! The soft shell crab was amazing, I’ve had soft shell crab without the batter but the batter gave it an added crunch!
The sashimi was very fresh and it melts in your mouth. Dipped in wasabi and soy… Yum!
The sushi was on another level. I think one was called the rainbow roll.. Which had little orange and green fish roes on top! The roes were a different flavour. It was mind blowing. The other sushi we had was eel and oh my god the eel was so soft! With the little sweet sauce on top…. Yummy!
It was a little pricey… But it was definitely worth it!
