Now I love my noodles… Vermicelli, udon, ho fun, egg noodles, pot noodles (the Chinese kind).
I went to the BBC Good Food Show weekend just gone and bought some Indomie instant noodles. They gave us tasters (original flavour) and it packed a good punch!
I bought all 3 different flavours; original, rendang and spicy hot.
Tried the rendang one tonight and oh my god it was nice. I know it’s instant noodles but what Chinese person doesn’t like instant noodles??
I usually buy instant noodles that are soup noodles but these ones are dry noodles; which I think was where all the flavours were.
First you had to cook the noodles (not too soft as it’ll just go mushy). Whilst the noodles are cooking you then mix all the packets together (in a bowl that you’re going to eat from); what I had in there was powder flavouring (I think that was were the rendang flavour was), chilli powder and 2 packs of sauces. Once the noodles are cooked, drain the water off and chuck them in your saucy goodness! Toss/mix the noodles until they are all covered with the sauce! Then chow down!
It had so much flavour in it. I had 2 packets as it was my dinner and I put all of the flavour packets… But the powder flavouring I put 1 and a half. I also put a little bit of the noodle water in as I thought it looked a bit dry! The rendang flavour did come through and even with 2 packs of chilli powder in there it was not overly spicy.
If you’ve never tried them before… I recommend you do!
