I love a good food festival! This was in Lymington and they usually do the seafood festival in August.
I went to this last year with my parents and went again this year because my parents love seafood!
It was very windy this year but it didn’t stop us from going and eating haha. They had different stalls this year, my dad wanted the paella stall but it wasn’t there.
For starter… We had PS Catering Seafood. We had the seafood platter; which had whitebait, fried squid rings, fried plaice, scampi and some potatoes. This was rather cheap seeing there was a lot of seafood on the plate! Everything was cooked perfectly and they even made their own tartar sauce, yum!
For mains… We had mac n cheese, you were able to choose the topping so dad chose the slow cooked bbq beef brisket and I chose the crayfish tail and coriander. I wasn’t too keen on the mac n cheese as it didn’t have much flavour to it. The bbq beef brisket was a little too sweet for me and the crayfish tail didn’t taste of much. This was disappointing 😦
Dad wanted to have the raw oysters as well but they weren’t plump enough so we gave it a miss!
This seafood festival is on every year, so I’m thinking of going every year and see if they will have different stalls!
