Tiella di verdure

Tiella di verdure is an Italian dish from Apulia. It is a vegetable bake and it was so simple to make! Simple ingredients and you only need one pot.

This recipe is from a book called Culinaria Italy. The book was given to me by an Italian friend, I’m so grateful that he gave me this book.

Great recipe book with recipes from different regions of Italy.

This is how the dish is made…

Cut your aubergines, tomatoes, peppers and mozzarella in slices. Then cut your basil
Layer your vegetables until all the ingredients are gone. Each layer, sprinkle salt and pepper.
In a separate bowl put in breadcrumbs (I only had panko breadcrumbs) salt, pepper and oregano (I put in dried) and then sprinkle on top of your vegetables
Put it in the oven at 200 degrees for an hour. No lid needed.
Buon apettito!

This was a yummy dish, in the book it says they eat this dish as a primo (first course). I didn’t need to have anything else with this as I had 2 servings of the bake and it filled me up 🙂 give it a try.
