Went to a Chinese supermarket today, Yau Brothers and I went noodle shopping! I did buy other things but that’s for another blog.
So I bought a couple of noodles I’ve never tried before. This is Unif noodles, I bought 2 flavours; one is beef with sauerkraut flavour and the other one is roasted beef flavour.
The noodles were surprisingly quite good. These aren’t the German sauerkraut, these are the Chinese kind.
With the sauerkraut in the noodles, the soup had a nice chilli and sour kick. It kind of tasted like a hot and sour soup, I quite liked it.
The noodles were thin so they didn’t take long to cook. Never cook noodles too long as they will go too soggy and mushy. You need them al dente so you still have a bit of bite when you’re slurping! Slurping is good, it’s a sign of appreciation 😀
