I went to ASDA the other day for my weekly food shop and I really fancied having a lamb shank this week. So whilst going down the meat aisle I found an ASDA brand lamb shank with minted gravy. It looked good so I gave it a try!

I was very impressed with this! It did what it said on the box, “simple to cook.” You take the lamb out of the plastic and put it in the tin (it even came with the tin so less washing!), then you just whack it on the oven. 30 minutes covered with foil and then 15 minutes without.
The meat was just falling off the bone and it was so tender. When I was taking the lamb out of the plastic there was some fat but it wasn’t actually fatty when you were eating it.
Even after 45 minutes in the oven, there was still alot of the minted gravy. It had a lot of mint flavour and it was little sweet but it wasn’t the powerful sweet!
I think after trying this, I would try the other ones that ASDA has. Some people are scared of supermarket branded food but it is really good and a very great price aswell.
