My boyfriend wanted to try this place so I thought why not, haven’t had a proper roast in ages.
So we ordered this via Uber Eats, we looked at the menu and it doesn’t really tell you what’s in the pot. It says to choose your meat and your sides.
I risked it by ordering a large lamb roast pot and a side order of gravy (thinking it doesn’t come with gravy) and my boyfriend ordered a beef roast with a side of stuffing and Yorkshire pudding.
Food comes and the “large” isn’t really large, looks more like a medium pot and when you open the pot it already had gravy in it! So now we have an extra pot of gravy!
The sides were a little less smaller than the large pot. The Yorkshire puddings were in a bag and the stuffing was in a small pot. Now, you would think the stuffing were holding together but they weren’t. It looks like grain and it tasted so dry! Although once you add it with the gravy it does hydrate it!
The lamb that I had wasn’t tough and it was quite tasty but the vegetables looked like frozen vegetables. The potatoes were OK, but because they were drowned in the gravy they weren’t really as crispy!
My boyfriend and I have agreed that we won’t go to this place again as for the price…. It’s not worth it! If you want a roast, go to a restaurant and have one or better yet, cook it yourself!
