Fish soup

Second soup of the week and it’s another family favourite. Fish soup! I had to call my mum to ask how to make the soup haha.

Usually you would use fish head/tail but Tesco didn’t have that so I went with the tail end of the salmon; it still had a lot of meat on it.

You would think it smells fishy but it isn’t too bad, there’s a little fish taste when you drink it but it’s so nice!

There are tomatoes, white cabbage, Chinese sour cabbage, onions, garlic, ginger, lemongrass, salmon and a squeeze of lemon juice. Put the lemon juice once the soup is finished.

I love having the sour cabbage in the soup as I like the flavour and it goes so well with the salmon.

You can see that I don’t make the thick puree’d soups. I like my soup with chunky vegetables in; that is what I have grown up with. Yum yum!
