Bringing Hong Kong to me

I’ve missed going to Hong Kong and eating lots of yummy food, especially the dim sum! So I thought I would bring Hong Kong to me tonight and make braised white radish with fish balls and pig skin.

You guys might get weirded out with the pig skin but it’s sooo yummy in this dish. I used this YouTube video for braised beef and white radish but that sauce is the same for what I made

It’s quite a simple recipe and you can get the ingredients from the Chinese supermarket.

I think the sauce was a little dark but I think it was from the chu hou sauce. There is a sweetness to the sauce but it is all balanced out from the bitterness of white radish.

You then get the softness of the pig skin and the bouncyness of the fish balls.

I may prefer the dish in Hong Kong but this was so tasty, I might have to adjust the sweetness of the sauce next time though!

White radish with fishballs and pig skin. I ate this with rice noodles. Yum!
