Happy Easter everyone! I don’t really celebrate Easter but I thought I would make an effort this year. I planned a couple of things for my other half this weekend and judging by his reactions I think he enjoyed them.
The first thing I planned was on the Thursday where I did an indoor picnic lunch. The food was provided by Lola’s Cupcakes and it was a cream tea. Everything was well packaged and they froze the orange juice to keep the clotted cream cold; forward thinking, I like that and it saves on other ice packaging. In the cream tea set they also provided four English breakfast teabags, the tea was from Bird & Blend Tea Co. I don’t drink black tea and don’t like milk but drinking this black was actually very nice. There were four scones in the box and even though they weren’t fresh from the oven they were still nice and crumbly.
Whilst I was sorting out the scones, what I thought my other half was putting something on for us to watch, he was actually setting the scene for our picnic! He found something on YouTube where it’s cows in a field, so we ended up having a picnic in a field with cows! We then took a “walk” by a river and made some duck friends. It was such a great lunch and it was just nice to do something different.

On the Saturday I did an early Easter Egg hunt around the house. I gave him the first clue, he did well until I gave him the clue that was “You see me rolling…” The egg was in my car and he thought it was in the wheelie bin haha. He found all the little Lindt eggs and then found the main prize, the Smarties Easter Egg Hunt 8 pack. It was a fun morning.

Easter Sunday (today) I gave my other half his main Easter egg. I got him a Ferror Rocher egg and it is different from all the other eggs as the actual chocolate has hazelnuts in just like the actual Ferror Rocher chocolates. I could only find it in Tesco so I was lucky to get it and it was only £6!

I think Easter was a success this year and I’m not sure if I can top it next year! Hope everyone had a fab Easter and ate lots of chocolates!
