Thai food

I went to see Toy Story 4 tonight with a friend. It was good but not as good as the other 3!

We ended up going for Thai food and it was a place called Thaikhun.

It’s a nice little place with a good atmosphere. When you walk in it was like wandering into a side street of Thailand. It has lots of Thailand references and it was very colourful.

So I ordered squid for starter and a stewed beef soup noodles.

The squid was lovely. Had a bit of crunch to it and it was perfectly cooked. You know it’s perfectly cooked when it isn’t chewy when you bit into it. There was a dipping sauce that went with it, it was like a sweet and sour dip with some herbs in. It went well with the squid.

The stewed beef noodles were nice. Noodles cooked nicely and the beef was nice and tender. The soup had a lot of beefyness to it; not sure if beefyness is a word… I added a little vinegar and chilli flakes and as always it went to the next level. Hot and sour just how I like it!

I’ve been to Thaikhun a few times now and I do recommend it if you have one near you! If you love Thai street food… This is the place to go.
