The title is so me… I can get hangry which makes me grumpy! I’m your friend once you’ve fed me.
The other day I met with some friends for lunch (since we work in different buildings) and I decided we should go to a place called Grumpy Monkey. It’s a bar that sells food!
At first I was being a little awkward because I wanted to know how big the fries were! I ended up ordering 9 sweet chilli bbq chicken wings and fries.
The fries were fab… Not too salty and they were actually fries and not chips! They came in a cute little bucket too.
The sweet chilli bbq wings… I wouldn’t eat them again. Don’t get me wrong they were nice but a bit too sweet for me. There wasn’t much of a sweet chilli taste to it, it was more of a sweet bbq taste. There were chillies on top of the chicken wings but even they weren’t spicy. I ended up eating 7 out of the 9 as I couldn’t handle the sweetness of them.
I think I would go there again but not order the wings! We were sat in a booth which had a television in but right next to a speaker… So it was little bit loud with the music but it’s not the type of loud where you had to shout over each other. It’s a chilled kind of vibe I guess!
It’s a good place if you just wanted to chill with some friends over food.
