Brunch

My sister, niece, nephew and my mum arrived in the UK this month for a 2 months holiday. It’s nice when they come over during the summer so we can go out and do stuff.

So yesterday we went to Winchester to have brunch and we went to Josie’s. It was a nice chilled vibe to it and all the waitresses/waiters were all very nice.

I had bubble and squeak cakes. So they were kind of like fish cakes but in bubble and squeak form. It had to poached eggs in top and some vine tomatoes.. And of course I added bacon!

It was so nice! Poached eggs cooked to perfection and the bubble and squeak was nice and soft. The texture was mainly soft but the bubble and squeak was crispy so it gave it a different texture.

I would definitely go again but would go a bit earlier as it got busy really quickly and we arrived around 12ish.

I also had a drink called black lemonade. I was intrigued so I had to try it. When it arrived it was in a plastic bottle and because the liquid was black it looks liked a bottle of poison! It has algave and activated charcoal; which was what it made it so black! The taste wasn’t too bad, it wasn’t fizzy but you can taste the lemon in it. There were some black bitty bits but that was the charcoal. It was certainly something different!
