Homemade prawn dumplings

I made my first dumplings and it was very satisfying! Eating fresh dumplings that you’ve made will always be amazing.

This was a recipe by Marion’s Kitchen. I wasn’t able to take photos of the process as I had very floury hands! If you want to know how to make them you can go to her YouTube page: https://youtu.be/0U4WLIynhus or here’s the written recipe: https://www.marionskitchen.com/prawn-dumplings-in-red-oil/

My lovely dumplings! It looks loose but they are definitely sealed up
Marion dipped hers in chilli oil but I put mine in noodles

Instead of cooking the dumplings in with the noodles, I boiled them separately in just some water and then put them in with the noodles. You can tell when the dumplings are cooked, when they float to the top.

I was so happy that my dumplings stayed intact! I was worried but don’t they look pretty?! They were very juicy and the prawns weren’t overcooked. I forgot to buy chestnuts but I still got a good bite from the prawns and the coriander.

This is good to make at the weekend, it’s very therapeutic. I made them after work and it didn’t take long, from start to finish it took about half an hour – 45 minutes.

These actually beats the store bought ones! I recommend making your own dumplings, do ittt!
